Lecture of the Week: Richard Swinburne on the Necessity of God

Professor Emeritus of Philosophy Richard Swinburne from Oxford University gives his lecture on his view of the necessity of God. His work includes the philosophy of religion predominately involving the Leibnizian tradition of explanations in respect to the universe. His major works include The Coherence of Theism, The Existence of God, Is There a God?, and many others.

In this lecture, Swinburne argues that the idea that God is a “metaphysically necessary being doesn’t make sense.” He has earned the lecture of week for this week!
